Our capabilities.
Management and Monitoring.
We draw on experience leading some of the largest environmental monitoring and management programs in Australia. We design management and monitoring programs that adhere to environmental legislation, regulations, frameworks and other programs.
Research and Development.
As practicing environmental scientists we are firm believers in quantitative evidence. We review scientific knowledge and design and implement experiments to generate the knowledge-base needed to inform management. This optimizes solutions for success.
Protection and Restoration.
We design strategies to protect and restore ecosystems informed by you the custodians of the land, and the body of science applicable to this. We help you identify the gains, opportunities for support, the main risks and constraints in implementing protection and restoration We provide compile prescriptive plans to achieve beneficial outcomes and help monitor outcomes over time. Our staff are members of the Society for Ecological Restoration, the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas and Commission on Ecosystem Management.
Sustainability and Carbon.
We design sustainability programs incorporating all aspects of environmental and sustainability performance. We define measurable indicators that enable you to track progress towards set outcomes and to communicate these to your stakeholders be it in water or fuel use, carbon sequestration or a myriad of other auditable indicators. We help you comply with and report on results to private investors, regulators, certifications, standards or other frameworks. We are intimately familiar with the legislation and application of the Carbon Credits (Carbon Farming Initiative) Act 2011, its development and methods applicable in a variety of land management contexts.
Botany, Zoology and Geography.
We have advanced degrees and expertise in botany, zoology and geography include remote sensing and spatial analysis. Many initiatives to improve the environmental performance of land such as carbon offsetting require a measure of benefit to native plant and animal species and explicit consideration of the the environmental and geographical context of their status. We design and implement long term plant and animal monitoring programs to measure the benefit and report on these over time.
